Our History
The Leviathan Group began as Hutchins Custom Woodworking in 1996. Our founder, Donald Hutchins III, began the endeavor as a hobby after his service as a veteran of the United States Navy. Having grown up in an excavation company with his father, Donald Hutchins Jr., and having occupied a variety of skilled trades positions before, during, and after his time in the service, Donald quickly excelled with custom woodworking and furniture-making. He soon enough found his specialty in custom cabinetry and millwork, and began a side business outside of normal working hours with his 9-5 job. Over 20 years later, he retired from work in the public sector to pursue the custom cabinetry business full-time.
In 2021, Donald's son, Donald Hutchins IV, joined the company as partner, and shortly thereafter, the company expanded into remodeling, custom cabinetry, and millwork. As our company grew, we expanded our skillsets to meet demand. We revived the family excavation company, we added complex additions, new construction, and commercial work to our docket. With new employees, trusted subcontractors, and expanding workloads, it became apparent that we'd outgrown our company name. Thus, The Leviathan Group was born, to highlight the size and scope of our skillsets, our capacity to serve our community, and our reputation for delivering exemplary craftsmanship and customer service. Where others fail, we do not, and with that in mind, we hope to earn your business.
